Camp NaNoWriMo update: Finished!

Woo hoo! It is done! I hit my goal of 50 hours editing (actually went beyond it by three hours), I’m happy with the story-baby I’ve been making since 2017, and it’ll be getting proofread soon. It should be available for download here probably over the next month or so. It feels a wee bit weird not having it as part of my day anymore, but it also feels amazing to have finished it.

I’m all writing’d out for now and while it’s been an epic experience to create a short-novel-length thing (it’s about 60,000 words) I feel like it’s maybe not something I’m going to do again for the foreseeable future. Never say never though.

There will probably be some flash fiction based around the characters in the book because there are some more of their stories I’d like to tell that didn’t fit with the main story, and I have a few little but what if..? ideas around it, but outside of that, it’s done 🙂

  1. Congrats! I did finish a first draft of a short story and finished a revision on another. In order for me to meet my goals for camp I still need to finish a revision on that first draft. I think i can still make it. 🙂

    1. It happened a few days ago, but I only just got around to writing a blog post. I had a sudden burst of activity so hit my goal early and gave myself eye strain because I will never learn not to look at screens for that long 😀
