Camp NaNoWriMo goal reached!

Screengrab of my Camp NaNoWriMo word count goal page

A few days ago, I reached my goal of 20,000 words for Camp NaNoWriMo. This means I have a first draft of a novella! It is the longest individual project I’ve ever written and there’s so much still to do, what with editing, cover design and (the most exciting bit) publishing, but I’m super excited already.

I ended up completing the project about two weeks earlier than planned because I got hit by the inspiration truck and just couldn’t stop writing. I’m at that point where I need to not look at it for a bit though, so editing and all the rest is going to wait, probably until May.

I’m not honestly sure exactly when everything else is going to be happening, but I’ll keep you all updated here with behind the scenes goings-on and let you know when and where you can read the book once it’s ready to go out into the world.

  1. Well done. It’s a great feeling when you get to that point so make sure you enjoy it. Can you keep us in the loop about how the editing process goes?
